nookncranny's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- water little bee ended up establishing a route around the perimeter of the pool that she wanted to repeat over & over. she glanced back at me occasionally because when you venture out, moms are a touchstone. past the intensely tanned fourty-something mamacita. under the sprinkley part near the freshy-girl lifeguard. slip around the couple with great genes who started a family e-a-r-l-y. stealthily by the badly sunburned boy splashing everyone who dared orbit his boundries. and back around to the chick with kids, who looked as bud-hungry as i. she asked me if i had the time. we also sat in on the water show; so as to meet our friend's new cartoonishly-beefcake beau. he drives the jet ski. gets a check every two weeks for jumping & then plummeting the thing underwater. the best part of the day- right before we left, little turtle man pryed himself away from the unbearable coolness of my sis-in-law (his aunt) and more importantly, her tatoo-sleaved-nipple-pierced-drummer boyfriend & asked me to ride one waterslide with him. we lowered into a tube, his feet slung on my shoulders. all at once we were incubated by the cool darkness of the slide; with the great slipperiness of speed lifting away every heaviness i may tote about. his fabulous giggles filling my head. a tasty mental post-it that glee is always an option. - ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
